ContractorUmbrella Chosen Charities for 2010
ContractorUmbrella has a full calendar of charitable events planned for 2010 and we are looking for even more suggestions from you. This is our itinerary so far and please keep popping back to this page for more updates:

August: Company Parachute Jump (well the brave ones anyway!)
September—December: Email charity auction
Now-December: We are inviting suggestions for fundraising activities for the team at ContractorUmbrella and we will update the website with photo’s after the chosen events.
April: A message from Glen
I am running the London marathon for the charity "CHILDREN with LEUKAEMIA". This charity helps young children who have cancer of the blood. Unfortunately the disease is still on the increase. Fifty years ago leukaemia was a virtual death sentence, but now because of the research work this charity does four out of five affected children now survive. This is why I feel it is so important to raise money for the charity , so they can continue this vitally important research.
For those people who do not know me, I am a keen amateur runner and it was my ambition to do the London Marathon before I reached the age of 50 , but that has sadly passed me by in 2008. So after years of trying to gain entry ,I have finally made it to the starting line, not only to achieve my ambition but more importantly I have the chance to raise a fantastic amount of money with your help, to support such a deserving cause. Providing these old legs hold out I am hoping to do the 26.2 miles in a time as close to 4 hours as poss!!!. Don't laugh at the photos, the matching hat and gloves were Christmas pressies and I had to pose for the family album.
