You may have heard about Umbrella companies offering all-inclusive Professional Indemnity insurance, which can seem quite enticing. After all, what could be easier than having all your contractors covered under one blanket insurance policy?
Sadly one policy doesn't fit all and some of the roles you offer may not be covered. It's a bit like being offered a 'one size fits all' motor insurance policy then finding out that it doesn't adequately protect your rather special vehicle when you make a claim.
Rather than charge everyone unnecessarily for blanket cover, we have left Professional Indemnity insurance as an optional extra for those who need it. For peace of mind and to ensure that you are fully covered, the insurance policy has been written to include both parties involved. Below is an example of the wording:

Quick and easy PI protection from less than £10 per month
Our insurance page allows contractors to receive a free no obligation quote and cover can be set-up online in a few easy steps. This can be paid for by monthly interest-free direct debits, rather than annually, and the costs are fully claimable as an expense. Once the transaction is complete the insurance documents are emailed across to the contractor immediately.
