Umbrella company contractors working in the IT sector will be interested to hear that they are in for a steady rise in pay due to benefits from cloud computing.
Pierre Audoin Consultants (PAC), an international consulting company, has been monitoring rates of pay fin the UK, France and Germany for the last 10 years and surveyed 150 UK IT firms and IT individuals about their average daily pay rates.
According to the IT Services Rates Database findings, pay rates are expected to soar within the next six months because of such an increase in demand for cloud computing skills.
IT contractors will be interested to learn that those working in consulting, infrastructure, platforms, applications and project management, are also expected to see a steady increase of their daily rates of pay.
Dominic Trott, a senior analyst at PAC, explained further, “We expect a short-term boost in rates due to the high demand in cloud-related skills, but in the medium term we’ll see commoditisation of testing and application management roles as these functions migrate to the cloud.”
It has also been predicted that the IT contractor pay, could very well continue to rise into the following year.
