According to a new survey, London has retained its title as being the number one city to work in for professionals across the globe.

The capital has managed to maintain this title for the last 10 years; this is despite the ongoing uncertainty in the UK economy.

The Decoding Global Talent 2024: Dream Destinations & Mobility Trends report shows that the top 10 cities for work are:

  1. London
  2. Amsterdam
  3. Dubai
  4. Abu Dubai
  5. New York City
  6. Berlin
  7. Singapore
  8. Barcelona
  9. Tokyo
  10. Sydney

Other UK cities to make the top 100 include Edinburgh (at number 53), Birmingham (58), Belfast (79) and Glasgow (83).

The Stepstone Group also reported the top 10 countries most desirable for workers, with the UK coming in at fourth place:
