Umbrella company contractors working in the marketing industry will be pleased to learn that a new report has revealed that this sector should experience a rise in demand during 2013.

The report, which was carried out by recruiter Michael Page, revealed that more than 40% of the industry experts surveyed, said that they expect the number of marketing contractors to increase within their company, over the next 12 months.

According to the Michael Page Marketing 2013 report, digital marketing skills are going to be particularly in demand, with 41% of respondents saying that any skills shortages would more than likely be remedied by hiring external workers.

The report also found that the north of the country was especially promising for contractors during 2012, and is thought to continue this way, with the growth of the financial services sector believed to be behind this.  The south-east was also found to be a promising option for marketing contractors, particularly within the business services sector.

Umbrella service contractors with skills in marketing might also be interested to hear that the report has predicted that 2013 is set to bring new job opportunities within the higher education sector.  This is thought to be due to the fact that universities will be competing even harder for new students because of increased tuition fees.
