Most in-demand roles for 2025

A new report has revealed the UK’s top industries and the most in-demand roles predicted for 2025.

The key factors expected to influence the business environment include economic inactivity, demographic pressures, talent retention and technological advancements.

That’s according to Core-Asset Consulting, which goes on to highlight the five functions and associated roles predicted to be most in demand this year:

• Technology integration and automation. In-demand roles include: AI specialist, data analyst and digital transformation lead.
• Regulatory compliance and risk management. In-demand roles include: compliance officer, regulatory analyst and operational risk manager.
• Cybersecurity and digital resilience. In-demand roles include: cybersecurity specialist, technology risk manager and IT governance lead.
• Strategic change management. In-demand roles include: business change analyst, strategy consultant and transformation project manager.
• Complex tax management. In-demand roles include: global tax specialist, intercompany specialists and personal tax specialists in practise and wealth management.
