A new survey has revealed that two-thirds of workers would leave their current job to seek out a more meaningful career.
A further 70% believe that purpose is critical when it comes to their career choices.
The report, compiled by Tomorrow University, found that 55% of those surveyed think their current job does align with what they consider a sense of purpose. Fifty-eight per cent define purpose in a job as being continuous learning and growth.

The majority (90%) say that working with a sense of purpose helps to improve their mental health.
Dr Thomas Funke, Co-founder and CEO at Tomorrow University, commented on the findings, “Our research shows that people want more from their careers, but it’s important to remember, purpose is a journey.
“Almost 60 percent of people surveyed define ‘purpose’ as continuous learning and personal growth. It’s about commitment to personal growth and inner work.”
