The IPSE’s flagship annual event celebrating the UK’s self-employed sector has been shortlisted for the best all-round event experience at the 2018 EventLAB Awards.

With over 400 attendees, 40 speakers, five streams and 11 sponsors, this year’s 10thNational Freelancers Day was the biggest and best to date.

Focussing on four key areas – health and wellbeing, digital, winning work and financial – the event brought together an array of the country’s brightest freelancers and speakers from a range of industries, specialisms and companies including Uber, Aon, Sanctus and Beaverton Brewery.

Chris Bryce, IPSE’s CEO, commented, “Since the inaugural NFD 10 years ago, the event has grown significantly, and this nomination is wonderful recognition of the fantastic work our team – in particular our events manager Claire Barrance – put into making this year’s event such an overwhelming success.

“As the representative body of 74,000 members and a wider self-employed population of nearly five people, it is our duty to host events that provide this sector of the workforce with all the tools, advice and networking opportunities to thrive in business. Judging by not only this nomination but feedback from attendees, speakers and sponsors, NFD 2018 did all that and more. Next year has a lot to live up to!”
