HMRC is reminding new parents not to miss out on their first Child Benefit payment before Christmas.
Figures show that more than one million families have claimed Child Benefit either online or via the HMRC app since the new digital service was launched earlier this year.
As many as 87% of new claims are made online, meaning parents are able to receive their payments much quicker. HMRC is therefore advising that new parents make their claim now to get it before baby’s first Christmas.
