Umbrella company contractors could benefit from the latest Easyjet announcement that it has plans to base more aircraft in its Edinburgh Airport.
The airline company plans to add to the five planes already kept in the Scottish capital, which could potentially create up to 100 new job opportunities for umbrella service contractors, freelancers and permanent workers.
The first of the two new Airbus A319s is due to arrive at the beginning of December of this year, with the second beginning operations in March 2013; the company has said that this project will help to benefit the local economy.
Hugh Aitken, Easyjet's head of Scotland, said, "We are doing something quite unique, we're starting to talk to a lot of our partners, Scottish Enterprise and VisitScotland and others about where they see the opportunities, where they see the markets that are underserved or have potential to grow in and out of Scotland and how they can support us with that.
"The decision to base a further two aircraft in Edinburgh is testament to the importance of Scotland to easyJet's operation.
