Simon Dolan started Contractor Umbrella 1999, to fulfil the umbrella needs of his first major business SJD Accountancy, which was the only accounting firm in the UK top 100 owned by an individual rather than a partnership. SJD Accountancy was acquired in 2014 along with accounting practice Nixon Williams by Sovereign Capital for over £100m.
In 2017 Simon set up Dolan Accountancy, with the vision of clients being able to seamlessly switch from umbrella to limited and he continues to work closely with the team to achieve this vision.
With over 20 years’ of experience in the accounting and contracting industry, Jaime adds a wealth of experience to the Contractor Umbrella Team. As a part qualified accountant and an experienced sales person, Jaime is able to advise on the benefits of operating via both umbrella and Ltd company, whilst maintaining and building relationships with both our existing agency base and helping to build new relationships across the industry.
With more than 15 years’ experience within the accountancy and contracting industry, Lauren understands a contractors needs. Responsible for the successful operational management of Contractor Umbrella and making the business more effective whilst improving the service to Contractors.
Having over 12 years’ of experience in legal and compliance, much of it within the contractor industry, Zeeshan brings valuable knowledge to the business in its efforts to stay compliant with the rules at all times. Whether it be AWR, the Intermediaries legislation or anything else compliance related, Zeeshan is on hand to help us navigate the minefield of legislation and red tape.
Working in the contractor and accountancy industry since 2011, Sophie adds a wealth of knowledge to the Contractor Umbrella team. Sophie is able to advise contractors on the benefits of operating via both umbrella and limited, as well as offering advice on legislation. Sophie also looks after maintaining and building relationships with recruitment agencies.
