As many as two million UK workers are set to change jobs before Christmas with a number of people looking to move into a completely different industry.
According to the Totaljobs report, 26% of UK workers are currently actively looking for a new job and six per cent are already working their notice.
Interestingly, 75% of those surveyed said that it was the pandemic that made them consider working in a different industry.
When asked their reason for future career moves, the majority (57%) said they were looking for a better work-life balance, 52% cited a higher salary as a motive and 38% said that they were interested in learning new skills.
